Play Therapy

When children are facing tough times, they often communicate their struggles through their actions. This can manifest as misbehaving in school or at home, being easily upset, having difficulty sleeping, or showing fear and resistance towards daily tasks. Due to their developmental stage, children find it challenging to articulate their inner emotions verbally. Play serves as a powerful tool for children to convey complex and sometimes overwhelming feelings.

In my practice, I use play therapy as a valuable method to support children dealing with emotional challenges. Through an array of toys, your child leads our play sessions. The themes that emerge during our play and how your child engages with me throughout the process enable me to delve into your child's inner world and comprehend the issues prompting their need for therapy. This approach aids your child in making sense of emotions that may have previously been perplexing or hard to express.

Therapy with children always involves their parents or caregivers. I meet regularly with parents and caregivers to share our impressions and thoughts about supporting your child and to explore any struggles that are coming up at home.
